Every town starts peaceful. A peaceful town cannot be attacked. Peaceful towns cannot hold military ranks or move their homeblock. A nation capital can be peaceful too.
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/sw town togglepeaceful | Mayor. Leave or return to peace. Takes 7 days both ways. A town under a week old changes at once. |
/n rank add <player> private | King. Nation rank, private up to general. |
/t rank add <player> guard | Mayor. Town guard rank. |
/sw nextsession | When the next battle session starts. |
/sw spawn <town> | Go to your side's commander during a session. |
No military rank means you cannot take part at all. Only a king or general can start a siege, surrender, or take a beaten town.
A siege
- Declare. Thursdays only. The king or general plants a coloured banner in the wild at the town's edge. Free. One attack per nation at a time.
- Fight. 7 sessions of 1 hour over the weekend. Nothing happens between them.
- Score. Stand near the banner 7 minutes to take it, then score every minute you hold it. Killing ranked enemies scores too.
- End. After session 7, more points wins. Either side can end early with a plain white banner outside the town: attacker gives up, or defender surrenders. Surrender is often the smart move.
- During a session, general chat, local chat and private messages are off until 10 minutes after. Town, nation and ally chat still work.
- Discord's combat channel shows every siege start, session result, win, and player kill.
After
- Defenders win: nothing changes. The town is safe for a week.
- Attackers win: the town joins their nation as occupied. It keeps every block, chest and claim. It pays nothing.
- An occupied mayor can plant a banner outside their own town to revolt. Same siege, reversed. Win it and the town is free.
A war can never
- Break, burn or blow up your blocks. Open your chests. Take items.
- Take your inventory when you die. Gear loses a bit of durability, that is all.
- Cost money. No fees, no prize, no plunder, no ransom, no pay, no tax.
- Capture a nation capital.
The only damage is dug-up ground outside the walls. Obsidian, ice, lava, water, TNT, explosives and trap blocks are refused in a war zone.
